Earlier this year, Mpho revealed that quitting alcohol two years ago and marrying the woman of his dreams were the best decisions of his life.
Mpho and Latoya had previously separated but reconciled and said their "I do's" in a private wedding ceremony in 2023.
During COVID-19, Mpho suffered from depression. He decided to turn his life around and started by sobering up.
Speaking to Sowetan, the comedian said he felt like they had been given a second chance at love and life.
"I decided to fix myself up to be the best partner for her... I thank God for this second chance with my family. It has helped me grow as a man," he said.
Their reconciliation also had a positive effect on their daughter. He said she used to get 40% at school, but is now getting As and Bs.
"When I was going through what I was going through, my daughter never told me what was troubling her but ever since her mom and I got back together, she’s been the most happiest. I think the stability has helped her open up her world more and not to be too reserved which makes me happy," he said.
