Futuristic grocery stores are free of checkout lines

Grocery
shoppers will one day be able to “grab and go” without heading to a cashier.
Fancy walking into a grocery store, putting everything you need in your trolley, and leaving without queueing up or even heading to a cashier?
Amazon Go is testing new technology that will make you do just that.
Futuristic grocery stores allow you to walk in, grab what you need, and walk out without standing in line or having to go to a cashier.
It does not count as shoplifting, as technology will ensure everything you put in your trolley is automatically added to your online account via a virtual cart.
All you have to do is download the Amazon Go app, scan your smartphone when you enter, and you are literally good to “grab and go”.
Amazon will reportedly use a combination of cameras, microphones, “deep learning algorithms and sensor fusion” to make this a reality.
The system is currently being tested at a store in Seattle, America, which will be open to the public in 2017.
Amazon explained how the concept will work in a video posted on its YouTube account.
