Faux freckles - the best gift for beauty lovers?
Updated | By Tamlyn Canham, Zaba
Freckles
are all the rage in the beauty industry right now!
The latest beauty trend sweeping the world is faux freckles. Yes, what once was a reason for school bullies to tease children, is now a major trend.
So much so that you can now buy some fake freckles of your own.
A company called ‘Faux Freckles’ is selling adhesive sheets that will give you instant freckles.
For as little as R340 you can turn yourself into a freckled beauty.
Another company, ‘Freck Yourself’, offers a semi-permanent option that comes with 72 self-adhesive stencils.
Beauty bloggers have also caught onto the trend, and have been using make-up pencils to create DIY freckles.
Freckles apparently make them feel youthful and fresh-faced.
I am guilty of getting on the trend as well. For me, fake freckles are the best way to hide dark spots on your face when you don’t want to wear any make-up. The summer months are hot, and piling on layers of foundation is too much work. So I just fake freckle my way out of it.
If you naturally have freckles, you’re lucky as hell, so just go on and embrace it. For those of us who don’t, like me, let’s just fake it until we make it.
Who would have thought?! If only these school bullies of the past realised how cool freckles actually are.
If you have a family member obsessed with all things beauty, this just might be the perfect gift for them this Christmas?
Check out this faux freckles make-up tutorial if you are low on cash.
