Delicious guide for getting over a break-up
Updated | By Staff Writer
Break-ups are never easy and the best way to start the healing is by gathering your girls, having a pamper session and indulging in the kind of food that makes it all better.

Don’t break the bank –simple, inexpensive biscuits or ice cream will do the trick, because these delicious treats do have healing powers.
Tamara Aeschliman, the creator of cut & bake cookie dough, gives us a delicious guide for getting over a break-up.
S’mores galore
For someone who has just come out of a break-up you might not be in the mood to cook. You need something that will revive you and what better way than with a mix of chocolate, marshmallows and delicious biscuits? For easy-to-make s’mores, grab some cut & bake cookie dough, cut it into thin biscuits and place it in the oven to bake for eight minutes. Lift the freshly baked biscuits with a spatula and sandwich a piece of chocolate and a marshmallow between two hot biscuits and you will have the perfect s’mores. “These are great quick and easy treats to snack on with the girls,” says Tamara.
Ice cream with a twist
Ice cream has been used as a mood enhancer since its invention. If you are feeling low and need a pick-me-up, then ice cream is your best bet. This is a great treat to keep your mind off things for a while and indulge in a sinfully tasty treat. Don’t just plonk down on the couch and eat your ice-cream from the tub. Be creative. Get some tasty cut & bake shortbread cookie dough. Cut and bake it for eight minutes. While the biscuits are cooling grab your favourite jam and twist it through some ice cream and then smother it on the biscuit. Place another biscuit on top to create an ice cream sandwich. Put them in the freezer for a few minutes to set and then get munching.
Pizza cookie
You are not yet in a mood to go out and face the world. So enjoying a feel-good pizza cookie is a great way to de-stress. Defrost cut & bake ginger spice cookie dough, roll it out with a rolling pin. As a topping grab some of your sweets, chocolate and anything else you can think of and crush them (this is a great way to release pent up frustration). Sprinkle your toppings on your pizza and bake until the edges are golden brown or until it has reached your desired crispiness. The cookie pizza can bake for approximately 8 - 12 minutes depending on your size and toppings. You are allowed to over-indulge guilt-free just this once.
“These foods are a great way to take your mind off things. It’s okay to spoil yourself a little after a heartbreaking experience,” says Tamara.
