What a year 2014 has been! Thank you for helping make such incredible memories with us.
With so much on over the past year, it’s been a tough call narrowing our list of highlights from 2014 down!
But here they are, our top four moments from 2014 – in no particular order:
East Coast Breakfast Tour
Darren, Natarah, Gabriel and producer Gorgeous George together with a 20-strong support team kicked off the East Coast Radio Breakfast Tour on 18 July. In a province-wide connect-the-dots-type road trip, the team visited Umlazi, Port Shepstone, Nottingham Road, Newcastle, Pietermaritzburg, Richards Bay and Eshowe before hanging up their adventure boots in Florida Road.
It was a wild, fun, beautiful ride around KZN. Thank you for showing us so much love!
Discovery East Coast Radio Big Walk
18 May 2014 saw over 30 000 Big Walkers hitting the Durban promenade for the Big Walk to Freedom.
It was an incredible day out! Here’s a recap of the awesomeness.
All we can say is bring on Big Walk 2015!
East Coast Radio’s Durban Day
Over 16 000 people, nine of SA's hottest acts, and a whole lot of fun. From Jimmy Nevis, to The Arrows, Gangs of Ballet, BlackByrd, Freshlyground, Mafikizolo to the Parlotones and Khuli Chana and, finally, Mi Casa - all the stops were pulled out for an epic day of music.
East Coast Radio Toy Story with Game
East Coast Radio’s Toy Story with Game wrapped up in December following a successful three month campaign that saw over 25 000 new toys being collected and over R1.64 million donated by individuals and corporates across KwaZulu-Natal. Thank you for your incredible generosity, KZN – you have made it real for thousands of children in our province.
