Damon's favourite games from the 90s!

We're loving this little journey to the past as we celebrate 20 Years of Democracy on East Coast Radio. Today, we'll look at our favourite games - both TV games, board games and outdoor games. Marco! Polo!

Nintendo Games: If I said I didn't miss the simplicity of these old cartridge based TV games, I'd be telling a fat, fat lie! I can remember those compendiums of Olympic Games, being super competitive when taking on friends in tennis, and then of course, who could forget the Mario Bros? If I had to pick a favourite, it would definitely be that one!

Board Games: Here, for me, the ultimate was the process of elimination and doubt in Cluedo. Who was it? Colonel Mustard? Mrs Peacock? Miss Scarlet? Where was s/he? The kitchen? The drawing room? The library? What was the weapon of choice? The candle stick? The rope? The lead piping? Another firm favourite of mine was Trivial Pursuit. Confession: I used to lie in bed at night and study the cards! I know, it's sad. For me personally, Risk took too long, as did Monopoly - and I never trusted the banker anyway!

Other Games: Marco! Polo! Anyone who ever says they never opened their eyes while they were supposed to be closed is lying! There, I said it! I can also remember playing Hide and Seek with my friends in the neighbourhood. I never ever counted to 100 before I started looking, by the way! What about the old favourite, Finger Snooker? One of my most competitive exploits during the 90s. I can remember always having that container of baby powder too to keep the board smooth.
