KZN weather: Disaster teams on high alert
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
KZN Disaster Management authorities have warned residents in the province against snow-chasing as they could potentially put their lives in danger.

Snow has been falling in areas including Sani Pass and Giant's Castle.
The cold and wet that has hit the province is expected to continue for the rest of the weekend.
Co-operative Governance spokesperson, Lennox Mabaso says their disaster teams are on high alert monitoring hotspots that could be affected by the weather.

Mabaso also says where there is heavy rain falling, people are being advised to delay travel on the roads until conditions are safe.
"We're saying minimise your movement, stay indoors and stay at home. You may think you are going for an exciting occasion and find yourself trapped somewhere in the snow. You're risking your life and that of your family," he said.
