Six foods that are likely to give you food poisoning
Updated | By East Coast Radio
There are just certain foods that you should consider avoiding, simply because of the high risk of food poisoning they may carry.
According to Attorney Bill Marler, who spent 20 years working on food poisoning lawsuits, these are dangerous 'food poisoning' foods, Mirror reported.
Below is the list:
Raw oysters
This is reportedly due to global warming, rather than any bad food hygiene practices. Marler told the publication he has "seen more foodborne illnesses linked to shellfish in the past five years than in the two preceding decades."

Prepackaged (cut and washed) fruit and vegetables
With life being so hectic, many of us just prefer buying prepackaged fruits and vegetables because they save us time, but they are apparently not a good idea. The risk of contamination of prepacked fruits and vegetable is high due to the way they are handled during the production line, which includes washing and prepping in bulk.
Raw sprouts
"There have been too many outbreaks to not pay attention to the risk of sprout contamination," Marler told the publication.
Undercooked meat
Marler reportedly says undercooked meat carries bacteria which causes E.coli or salmonella.
Raw Eggs
According to Marler, it’s just safer to stay away from raw eggs.
Unpasteurised milk and juices
Marler told the publication that pasteurization helps decrease the risk of contamination. "Skipping this safety step means an increased risk of contamination by bacteria, viruses, and parasites," he added.
