Young Ameer learns about sharing this Ramadan

A young boy observes his first Ramadan and learns the value of sharing and the principle of fasting. He was inspired to share and donate, so he made a trip to The Animal Welfare Society of South Africa.

This young boy experienced his first half-day fast for Ramadan and what he did thereafter is so motivating.

As many observe the fast of Ramadan, we love to see that the next generation is being taught such valuable lessons in life, lessons that encourage the true nature of connecting us as humans, the nature of 'giving' and 'sharing'.

GoodThingsGuy.com shared a lovely story about young Ameer:

"Ameer’s family is currently fasting for Ramadan. They hoped to teach him that the fast was less about being hungry and more about sharing. There are many lessons one can learn about sharing, and Ameer’s family decided to do a lesson in giving back."

A task that many families should prioritise on a regular basis is cleaning out what we use and don't use, because there is always someone who could use it. Young Ameer was encouraged by his family to clean out his toys and selecting the ones he no longer uses so that he could donate these to the children's home.

In addition to this act of kindness, he accompanied his family to the supermarket and bought some groceries for some families in need. This inspired Ameer to act on his own and take out some money from his savings to purchase two cans of cat food and headed down to The Animal Welfare Society of South Africa to make his contribution.

Ameer's effort in making a donation left the team at The Animal Welfare Society feeling proud and grateful. "One of the pillars of Ramadan is community, and Ameer has done well to uplift his community through his kind actions." (GoodThingGuy.com)

We are filled with a sense of pride - with little people doing big acts such as these, our country and the world is slowly healing from all the bad.
