Are electric cars what we need to beat the escalating petrol price?
South Africa has introduced its cheapest electric car and many people have opted to buy this cute and savvy Eleksa CityBug. The car is retailing for R230,000, but that's not the best part.

With the ever-increasing price of petrol and diesel, it could be that the introduction of a cost-effective electric car is the way to go. Of course, we are not sure how great that may be if loadshedding decides to give you a surprise visit...
Nevertheless, this car is definitely something to consider if you are in the market for a new vehicle. Most especially if you want to be kinder to the environment, more than that, kinder to your bank account.

Does size really matter if you are saving that much on running costs? We think it could be a good investment in the long run. With the uncertainty of the fuel price, it may be a smart decision to switch to electric...
