Would you offer to pay half on a first date?

A TikToker who has been known to fool people with her fake videos has taken a different angle with her dating videos, leaving people annoyed yet again...
There's this underlying part of consuming social media that makes you naturally assume that what people post is 'real'.
But as Ridley Scott clearly outlined in his movie 'Blade Runner', there is such a thing as a simulated reality.
And perhaps that is what social media is? A simulated reality of someone's experiences.
If that is the case, then Winta Zesu (the name that is on her TikTok account) is perhaps on the right track with her videos.
Earlier this year, she created content that did not sit well with her audience with her over-the-top videos of her eating out.
Known for her ability to enrage the internet, she would share videos of her complaining about the most absurd things whilst eating out.
But according to Insider, this was all satire.
Recently, she has been sharing videos of her on dates in New York and she has brought to life those awkward moments that many people can attest to whilst out on a first date.

Although many people have misconstrued her satire yet again, we can appreciate the effort she has placed in re-creating a relatable dating experience.
Check out the video below where her date asks if he can wash dishes, as he doesn't have enough money to pay for their meal. In the comment section, people came for her for not offering to help split the bill.

Here are some of the comments:
Renee Johnson: "I would have pulled my card out and paid. You can tell he’s embarrassed."
Shar: "I hope this guy will find someone that will support him! Normally I’m all about a guy have to pay but if you like someone you will be there in"
Gabriell Selena: "Nah, if someone was willing to that for me, I would have paid that whole bill and still give him a chance!"
