Woman on the verge of blindness because she tattooed her eyeballs
Updated | By East Coast Radio
What won't people do to follow their influencers?
The whole point being called an influencer is to influence. We get that.
But at what point do we draw the line in being influenced?
It's one thing to be inspired by an influencer's sense of style, their demeanour, and what they say, but it's a whole other thing when you change your physical body based on someone else's choices to do the same.
A woman by the name of Anaya Peterson from Northern Island is someone who went overboard when it comes to being influenced.
And it's safe to say that because of this, she is going blind.
She was inspired to tattoo both her eyeballs after Australian model Amber Luke did so in 2019.
Ironically, Peterson knew that Luke went blind after the procedure for few weeks and still went ahead with it.
"Eye care specialists said she is now most likely to contract glaucoma (a group of eye conditions that can cause blindness), and her sight is already deteriorating." (MSN)

"The 32-year-old got her right eyeball tattooed blue in July 2020, and despite suffering from headaches and dry eyes as 'part of the healing process', she went and got the other eye dyed purple later that year." (LadBible)
Sadly, her seven-year-old warned her about not doing it, but she went ahead with it anyway.
Luke advised that when going through an eyeball tattoo, it is always best to do your research. She attests to her temporary blindness due to bad workmanship from the tattoo artist.
“My daughter told me that I didn’t want to do that (the tattoo) asking, ‘what if you go blind?’ She wasn’t on board with it at all. I’m basically on the verge of going blind,” she said after not listening to her seven-year-old daughter." (MSN)
