Woman sparks outrage after painting her boyfriend’s Xbox as a Valentine’s Day gift

In a video shared on the popular social media site, Hayley filmed herself painting a mural of a starry sky on her boyfriend’s gaming console. The video has, naturally, received mixed reviews, with many praising Hayley for putting in the effort, while others called the act vandalism!

The video, which has been viewed more than five-million times on the app, was captioned: "I saw this girl paint her ps5 and I thought it was a cute idea for v-day."

In the clip, Hayley paints the console black before painting it electric blue to give the effect of a sky. She then adds her own “razzle dazzle”, as she calls it, by painting pink fluffy clouds and yellow stars.

In the highly-anticipated follow-up video, Hayley gifts the device to her boyfriend. "Alright, the moment everyone's been waiting for. I'm about to do the reveal," she says in the video.

Hayley walks into a room where her boyfriend is sitting on the couch and unveils the console. After a short moment of silence, he simply says, "Ermm, it's a cute design." A moment later he says, "I don't know... Oh, it’s alright.”

Since the video was posted, the video has received more than 170,000 likes and 16,200 comments from viewers who had a lot to say about the surprise. "He dying inside," one user wrote. Another added, “Bro holding back tears" while a third called Hayley out saying "No shade but you ruined something he obviously cared about, do the right thing and replace it."
