Woman in her 20s finally has first kiss after searching for suitors online

M’Lynn Martin, 24 from San Diego, is a late bloomer. In fact, she only just had her first kiss and it’s all thanks to the power of social media.

Putting out a call on popular video app TikTok, M’Lynn encouraged prospective kissers to apply to be her first via a link in her bio.

“I am 24 and I’ve never had my first kiss,” she explains in a video. She adds that her “nervous system hasn’t memorised the feeling of someone’s lips on mine” and that even in when she tries to kiss a boy in her dreams, their lips never touch because her subconscious “doesn’t know how to replicate the feeling of actually being kissed”.

As the video spread like wildfire, so did the applications for M’Lynn’s first kiss. Boys from around the world answered questions explaining why they wanted to be M’Lynn’s first kiss and “what kind of kissing experience” they were looking for.

Eventually, M’Lynn picked a stranger who, she says, had “by far the best application”. Interestingly, Ian is also the younger brother of one of her college professors, which M’Lynn says was “just so funny that I had to choose him”.

Sharing a video on his TikTok page trying to win M’Lynn over, Ian strums his guitar while promising to “have gum ready”, as well as a “makeout playlists that’s curated for a session like this.” Ian even promised to drive from Los Angeles to San Diego for the kiss. The fact that he admits that he gets tested for COVID-19 often also helped to seal the deal.

After both M’Lynn and Ian both got tested for COVID-19 and received their negative results, the two eventually met up and M’Lynn finally enjoyed her first kiss.

Sharing the experience on TikTok, M’Lynn is seen brushing her teeth in anticipation for the big moment and the video abruptly ends just as M’Lynn and Ian’s lips are about to touch. M’Lynn explains that while the whole process has been so public, she wanted to keep this part private – and we don’t blame her!
