Caitlyn Taylor was looking for a job that paid well. She went to university because she thought she had to, she got a high-paying job, again, because she thought that was what she was supposed to do, but it left her ill and in hospital.

She moved to London to become an investment banker and immediately realised that this was a fast-paced, busy as a bee, stressful job. She was pulling heavy hours at work, from 7 am to 10:30 pm, and didn't take any leave.

She started getting a bad case of hives and then after visiting the doctor, she was told it was an allergy. She was given an antihistamine and told that it would subside.

She continued with her stressful lifestyle, not thinking anything of the hives, but the more she worked, the worse the hives got. She said that she even got hives on her scalp. When running her fingers through her hair, she would feel the bumpy hives all over her scalp.

Over and above the hives, she was also experiencing mind fog and a drop in her level of confidence. Besides the immense stress and anxiety, she started having panic attacks. The hives were spreading all over her body.

She went to the hospital to get a blood test done and was told that she is healthy, so what was the issue?

Then things took a turn for the worse. She was struggling to breathe and was admitted to hospital. After spending three weeks in hospital, she sought out help from private alternative health experts.

The experts diagnosed Caitlin with a stress disorder and advised her to either slow down or take medication (strong medication) for the rest of her life. An eye-opening moment for Caitlyn.

After a serious 'Eat, Pray, Love' moment, she decided that her health and state of mind were more important than her job.

"She quit her job that paid her £55,000 a year and spent her entire savings on a two-and-half-year adventure around the world," Metro reports.

After following an anti-inflammatory diet and travelling for six months, her allergy had disappeared! Miraculous or does Caitlyn hold the secret to many allergies and illnesses?

Life can be stressful, especially with work, family demands, and financial stresses, but taking time for you and making sure that you are okay both mentally and physically is an important part of life. And this should be enforced more than it is.
