Woman fined for walking with her husband on a leash

We've heard that some men can be dogs but no-one has ever taken the expression this literally...
Like many others, we also had our suspicions and reservations when this story made its way onto our timelines.

The woman allegedly just tried to find a loophole for the local lockdown curfew.
The premier of Quebec, Canada recently implemented an 8 pm curfew for the city's residents up until the 9th of January.

Many others across the world have tried to find ways around lockdown rules and curfews, but this has to be one of the most creative attempts.
The police stopped the unnamed woman and her husband after they were seen outside of their house at around 9 pm.

The police then noticed the unusual setup, which was that she was walking with her husband, who was attached to a dog-walking leash.
According to CTV, the woman then went on to claim that she was indeed following curfew rules which state that dogs are allowed to be walked on leashes within one kilometer outside of their homes anytime after 8 pm.
I don't know what one would need for this particular activity but I hope he had... gloves? booties? kneepads?

What makes this story even crazier is that the police pointed out that her husband very clearly is NOT a dog, to which she protested!
Eventually, the couple was fined $1,500 (R18,000) for violating the curfew order, although the woman has made it very clear that she will not be paying the fine.

We all know that people have been having a hard time locked up at home.
While most have become a little stir-crazy, it has definitely gone straight to some people's heads.
