"We booked accommodation in Durban and left faster than we arrived"

A classic example of what you paid for versus what you got...
We have come across many, many stories of people sharing their experiences with what they paid for online versus what they actually got.
And it seems each time we see them, we are still left mystified at the polar opposite results that these poor people have had to face.
One woman was left harshly surprised when she booked a weekend away in Durban for the Durban July.
What was supposed to be a pleasant night for two in Durban North turned into a dodgy experience.
And that's putting it mildly.
"The outside of the place looked shabby instead of chic and when we saw what a cosy set-up awaited them inside, it left us less than impressed," the woman said.
"We are by no means shading the accommodation for what it is, we are just shocked that someone would mislead a guest to such an extent.
"The shower door is located next to the bed and the toilet is just in the open room, no doors! Talk about the quickest way to kill the romance."
The woman paid R1,200 for a Friday and Saturday night. It's like many of the people stated in the comments section, you get what you pay for...

The TikToker who posted the video was absolutely distraught when she saw what they had paid for.
And she revealed that they didn't spend the night and ended up spending the night at a cabin/tree house accommodation.
When she was asked if they were safe, she said "yes, but they were very cold". Another person shared that they saw the same booking going for R500 per night.
