Nanna Baubles is the world record holder for the most decorations...
Christmas is a time that gets many people excited, the cheer and overall spirit gets us feeling happy and joyous. Most especially it's the decorations that bring in the cheerfulness, and we have to agree that whether or not you celebrate, they have a celebratory essence to them.
So, of course, when we saw this new Guinness World record holder, we thought she should be given some time in the cheerful light as well. She certainly has earned it with her collection of decorations.
Sylvia Pope, also known as 'Nanna Baubles', owns 1,760 festive ornaments. She has broken the festive world record for the largest collection of Christmas baubles. She hopes to increase her collection to 2,000 by the new year.
"Mrs Pope, who turns 79 on Boxing Day, starts decorating in September and spends the following months adorning her home with hundreds of baubles." (BBC) Now, that takes lots of dedication and passion...
She has a wide range of bauble ornaments that come from all around the world. Some come from her memorable travels to places like Harrods in London, Macy's in New York, and some even come from her local town shops in Swansea.
"Favourites include a lobster, a hamburger, Big Ben, Disney characters and sentimental baubles made by family and friends. But her number one bauble is a Royal Doulton Royal Jubilee celebration edition, representing her "love" of the Queen who she thinks is "wonderful"." (BBC)

It's definite that we all could use a little or a lot of Christmas cheer after this year, and to see the passion from Nanna Baubles really gives us a sense of love and cheer.
We hope that she enjoys her Christmas and her 79th birthday this year and that she reaches her goal of 2,000 ornaments. She sure reminds us that 'tis the season' to stay grateful and passionate.
