WATCH: A real life 'Mean Girl' moment is caught on video by a body positivity influencer

A video of a woman being mean to a plus-sized influencer teaches us how to respond to haters...
There are those rare moments in life when you think to yourself, "why did I do that?" From getting annoyed with the driver hogging the right lane on the freeway, to having words with someone in the grocery store over them not wearing a mask...
These moments test us in so many ways but most of the time after some reflection, we feel like there is always another way of dealing with these kinds of situations. A video on TikTok by a popular online influencer, Bethy Red, is a perfect example of the kind of response that we all need to practice in life...
The video below is what she shared on TikTok with the woman sounding very rude. It has over 6.9-million views currently and garnered lots of attention from people asking if she could reveal the 'white block' that protected the mean lady's face.

After posting the video, Bethy realised that some of her followers were taking things to the next level as they were threatening the woman and that's not what she wanted from sharing the video. So she released another video explaining her intentions.
One person hit the nail on the head with Bethy's response, saying: "For those saying maybe she wasn't ill intended - she totally was. The only reason she stopped was because Beth didn't give her the reaction she wanted."
That's the thing with speaking our minds, sometimes it doesn't mean that we have to have the last word, but it is the way we respond that matters. Practicing the pause can be so enlightening and such a calming experience, for both the person responding and the one waiting for a response. It distinguishes the mindful person from the person who has a long way to go...
WATCH the below response video where she explained her intentions for posting the original video.
"The point of the video was that if somebody is mean to you, no matter the reason, show them empathy and show kindness. That's the bigger win for you..." Bethy said.
It seems that some of her followers convinced her to reveal the woman's identity which led to the wrong people receiving death threats.

It seems that many people showed that they prefer to deal with bullies in a physical way, but fighting doesn't help any situation. There is no learning.
One person said: "The person who bullied you, could be bullying others. You are strong and you can take it. But others may not. Which is why you need to expose them."
While someone else said: "The next person she bullies may not be as strong as you. This is called CONSEQUENCES and she deserves it."
As much as they make a point in saying that this woman could be bullying others and what if it is mentally and physically torturous for those people. Perhaps turning this on its head and showing that engaging with bullies isn't the lesson here, but rather living through the experience because a bully is just another insecure person who wants to make another person feel bad because they are not happy with themselves.
