WATCH: Mzansi jobseekers, is this the new technique for getting a job?
Updated | By East Coast Radio
Would this be rated toward initiative or overstepping boundaries?
It comes as no surprise to us that people are becoming desperate with regards to finding employment.
Of course that sector has not improved much...
As much as the amount of skilled labour positions have increased, the problem with not being privy to those (sometimes ridiculously intricate) skills is indeed a problem.
And the fact that the cost of everything is rising every day and people are finding it harder and harder to provide their families with the basic necessities.
The level of desperation when it comes to finding employment was recently displayed by a jobseeker.
A jobseeker that has since received lots of attention online, is seen walking into a Pep store and just taking command over the cashier position, extending a helping hand to customers.
The question that leaves us pondering his actions is, is this a sign of good initiative or a sign of overstepping boundaries?

His video has gained over 4.2-million views and it seems his page has quite a few comedic videos on it. So perhaps the user did this just for laughs or to be relatable in some way? Nevertheless, it was bold...
The actual employees didn't even move an inch after seeing him walk behind the counter, which is strictly for employees only, however we can hear one of the staff members calling for security.
But we do appreciate his confidence, in any place of employment being able to command a presence is a prized quality.
Plus it leaves an impression and ideally that is what anyone wants to do in any interview...
