Updated | By East Coast Radio
When it comes to style and fashion, Vic Naidoo is our guy. We take a look at the this Indian mom who finds out how much her daughter spent on a Gucci belt...
Have you ever heard that saying, "Good things don't come easy. If you get it cheap, you will lose it quick"? As much as this saying is true, it is also something that many have to experience for themselves.
And then when it comes to brands, it's a whole other spectrum. Many people associate their style to specific brands, their choices are motivated by design, preference, stature, and quality. The range is varied and so is the list of brands that have earned an exclusive name for themselves.
From Levi's to Gucci, it's all about what fits your style and what fits your budget...
Most of the time, if someone is the complete opposite to you when it comes to your fashion choices, then it's not easy to make them understand why you paid the amount you paid for something you liked and wanted. We would say sometimes it's best to keep it to yourself...
Vic Naidoo completely related with this story. He once bought a Van Gogh inspired throw cushion for R1,699 and even the sales lady asked him if he was okay.
Kay from Vryheid shared his story with Vic about the couch that was his craziest purchase, the couch that no one actually uses...Check it out below and listen to the story behind it above.
When we saw this video of a mother from India, who reacted as many Indian mothers would after finding out that her daughter spent around R6,700 for a belt, we were shook. She said that the belt looked like a school belt, when in fact it is a Gucci belt.
Check out the video that explains what actually happened in English. Courtesy of Facebook.
The original video was posted to Instagram by Chabi Gupta who shares this creative social media platform with her mother. The video got over four-million views and its obvious why. When we relate to something, we want to engage with it and that's exactly what happened here.
The original video is in Hindi and therefore we decided to share the video that shared some context on Facebook. The belt is said to have cost around 35,000 Indian Rupees, which is equivalent to around R6,700.
