WATCH: A mermaid caught on Muizenberg beach... Could this be real?
We thought that mermaids only existed in fairytales...
The only mermaid we know of is Ariel... and we know she is a fictional Disney character.
But it seems that many people believe in real-life mermaids. A video posted recently shows a 'mermaid' that was allegedly caught in Muizenberg, Cape Town.
The video was posted by TikToker Aamir Cali, who seems to be a mermaid enthusiast. This isn't the first video about mermaids he has shared.
Some of which have been extracted from movies and series. So the legitimacy is questionable.
We are not being close-minded here, just presenting you with the video and you can come to your own conclusions.

There are many people who believe that removing this 'mermaid' from the ocean is linked to the severe storms that we are experiencing.
Whether or not that is true, just remember that respecting any form of ocean life is important. Ultimately, we all work in unison...
