The interactive robot has been created by the engineers at Walt Disney Engineering, as part of the Disney Research division, who have teamed up with the robotics researchers from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, and the California Institute of Technology.
The robot was given very realistic human eye traits and can mimic a human's eyes by looking around the room, staring, and blinking.

Now, why would they call it Gaze? Because the aim of this work is to develop a system that will match a human-like mutual gaze.
Disney is currently working on many different technologies in robotics, AI, and machine learning.
But we just hope they'll focus on Gaze's face for a second because this skinless situation is not for us just yet.
