WATCH: Leopard jumps from tree to catch buck

A group of Kruger Park visitors were lucky enough to witness the leopard pull off a pretty impressive stunt.

Mikhail Messaris and his wife were driving along the Ngobeni loop, between Mopani and Phalaborwa in the Kruger National Park, just before lunchtime.
Considering the time of day, they weren't expecting to see any big cats being active as they would usually be asleep.

As they pulled up they saw that two other vehicles on the loop had stopped, which was clearly an indication of something interesting close by.
They then noticed the leopard standing in the tree, sizing up his meal and ready to make his kill.

Their footage has been shared on various social media platforms - much to the amazement of viewers:

The leopard showed it clearly has patience while also executing the kill with impressive skill.
After his successful hunt, he strolled over to another tree to enjoy his fresh lunch.

It's rare for people to witness a big cat while it's hunting, but seeing it in action really reminds you how incredible these creatures are.
