A TikTok video goes viral as a group of girls are captured pulling a fast one on the waitress by trying to get out of paying their bill...
Have you ever done something silly and lived to regret it? When we watched this video, it immediately took us to a movie that we once watched where a group of friends were part of a bridal party or a girl's night out and one of the dares of the night was to dine and dash. Oh, can you even imagine?
These girls were videoed walking back to their table at a restaurant and they seem to be looking for something. But from the fellow patrons' reactions, it seems they tried to pull a fast one on the waitress and get out of paying their bill.
Waitrons are traditionally known as those that form part of a very tough industry. Besides having to deal with 'hangry' (a fusion of hungry and angry) people, they also have to deal with being on their feet for long hours, dealing with food, with complaints, sometimes with crying children (and adults), and the list could go on and on.
So we don't understand why anyone would want to do this to another person. And that too, in a time where many restaurants are going through tough times and some waitrons only get paid a small basic, so they rely on tips.
As Vic Naidoo would say: "The Nerve!".
We can firmly say that we do not support their intentions, but the fact that they got caught and had to pay in the end makes us conjure up a 'hahaha' moment - karma working its magic.
