WATCH: Filipino woman finds deep-fried towel instead of deep-fried chicken in takeout!
Updated | By East Coast Radio
A woman turns to Facebook after ordering food from her local takeaway... let's just say she didn't get what she ordered!
Everyone loves takeout and we have to admit it's absolutely amazing to know that you can order out when you are having one of those days where you just don't want to cook.
So when Alique Perez decided to take a night off and order some takeout, it was a no-brainer that she was going to get what she ordered... or was it that easy? Not so much!
Alique, a mum from the Philippines, was trying to cut a piece of chicken for her son and found it difficult to cut through, when she looked closer, she discovered that the "piece of chicken" was actually a towel that was battered and deep-fried.
She was mortified when she made this discovery and, even worse, she had seen others complain about their food previously but didn't take it seriously. She quickly realised that there is a first time for everything.
What got her thinking was, how do you get the towel mixed up in the preparing stage to the point where it gets placed in a takeout container and is eventually sent to a customer. As a matter of fact, we are just as surprised!
That's just crazy! Is there no quality assurance at takeout joints anymore? Where is the love when it comes to preparing good food for your customers! Unless there's some sort of new item on the menu, "deep-fried towel chicken"!
