WATCH: Ask your parents what you do for a living and ask them to explain it...

We all know that things have evolved (a lot) when it comes to our jobs, their titles, the scopes of work that we do, it's a new world. Especially when it is compared to our parents' time. 

We can firmly say that many parents hear us but sometimes don't listen to us. And to those of you asking, "What's the difference?", there is a difference and you need to hear us out on this. 

This takes us to the series 'Friends', where no one actually knows what Chandler does? Hmm, did you know?

Job titles were simple in our parent's generation, to the point, and we could say that the meaning was very literal. So when it comes to being a QA tester, an IT Support Manager, and a Digital Marketing Specialist, all these do is create a whirlwind of confusion. And that's not just for our parents, sometimes, we too get confused. 

But then we have to realise that times have changed. By making the title broad and open-ended, many companies/recruiters have been able to have a list of responsibilities longer than your monthly shopping list. Hmm, tricky much? FYI, that's just our opinion, no shade towards you recruiters and companies. #ISaidWhatISaid

On that note, check out this video that just proves our point when it comes to having really confusing job titles. We are just trying to defend the dad here. Cut your dad some slack, Lauren, he did pretty well under the circumstances.
