This new trick could either be considered a stroke of genius or a lazy loophole...
More often than not, kids are smarter than what we give them credit for.

Where there's a will, they will most definitely find a way.
Especially if the way gets them out of having to pay attention in class, or skip school altogether!

Now considering the circumstances we find ourselves in, virtual classes and online teaching have become the norm.
Over the last year, we've seen many Zoom-call fails, teachers trying to make the most out of this new way of teaching, and just a lot of creativity and hilariousness across the board.

But it turns out that it also took only a year for one kid to figure out how to get out of his online classes completely without getting into trouble... until now.

Chris is married to a teacher and she told him the story of her one very smart student.
This obviously meant that he had to share this newly acquired information with the internet via Twitter:
My wife is a teacher and apparently one kid has been changing his name to 'Reconnecting' during the Zoom lessons so that he doesn't get asked any questions. Been doing it for weeks. The lad doesn't need to worry about his education, he's already a bona fide genius.

Turns out getting out of classes, meetings, or any other Zoom-related call is as easy as 1, 2... reconnecting...
It would make sense that the teacher would not be suspicious of the students, as it truly looks genuine when written as 'Reconnecting...' (the ellipses are what sell it).

This leads to the teacher believing that the internet connection is really bad so they won't ask the kid any questions.
Turns out this kid isn't the only little genius out there.
Other parents and teachers replied to the tweet, revealing the tricks others have been using:

Sure these kids are sneaky but we have to admit if they could get graded on ingenuity and originality they would all get an A!
