South Korea's rapping grandmothers know how to drop a beat

A perfect example of what it means to find your calling at an older age.
Imagine a group of grandmothers all gee'd up with baggy clothes while rapping in Korean...
It's not an easy image to conjure up, but lucky for you, you don't need to. A group of grandmothers in their 70s and 80s are making international waves with their attempt at forming a rap group.
Suni and the Seven Princesses are a popular rap group that is bringing light to their rural community by rapping about it.
"The eight members of the group have known each other since they were young, but they only decided to form a rap group last year. Having grown up in a rural area, they didn’t have a chance to pursue an education, so in 2016, they decided to finally learn to read and write the Korean alphabet, Hangul." (Oddity Central)
The group's leader, 81-year-old Park Jeon-sun, encouraged their teacher to show them how to rap after watching a rap video on the internet.

The group decided to rap about their rural lifestyle and had their first performance at a school.
They were a hit with people and this snowballed into their success, later performing at various events and on TV shows around South Korea.
It goes to show, you're never too old to pursue something new.
