SHOCKING: After 57-years she finds out that she was switched at birth...
We cannot even imagine what they must be feeling right now...
We once heard parents advising expectant parents to make sure to follow the nurses when they are taking the baby to the nursery. Of course, it was weird to hear something like that...But the reasoning was more scary than anything.
The reason was, so that your child isn't labelled incorrectly or worse, switched with another child. Can you even imagine having to go through something like that?
"Two American women, born on the same day in 1964 have discovered that they were switched at birth after a hospital mix-up.
Tina Ennis and Jill Lopez learned that they had been given to the wrong parents after Tina and her mother, Kathryn Jones submitted their DNA to Ancestry.Com in the hope of tracing Tina's estranged grandfather." (MSN)
Tina was very aware of the fact that she did not look like any of her siblings, and the ancestry report confirmed that she was not in fact related to her family.
After finding out this fact, they became convinced that she was switched at birth. They then set out to find out who was also born on the same day as Tina.
"What they discovered was that Jill Lopez had also been born at the same hospital on the same day and after agreeing to take a DNA test, it was revealed that Jill was Kathryn's biological daughter.
Sadly Tina's biological parents have died." (MSN)
That's sad news all around...Both families are suing the district for recklessness and negligence.
