Have you ever worked with a boss that didn't care about you but just wanted to make sure that all the boxes were ticked in terms of running the business? So as you may know there is a difference between being a boss and a leader...

If you didn't know, let us take a moment to explain the key differences. For one, a boss bosses you around, while a leader takes the time to lead. Lead you into growth and learning from your mistakes, a boss mostly just thinks about the schematics of getting the job done and not necessarily how to mentor and groom you to be the best at your work.

When we saw this post on Reddit by the user, tylerro2, it got us thinking about those bosses that really don't have any sort of empathy for their employees.

Perhaps it is a big leap to make a judgement on all bosses, but when it comes to this boss, their approach was all wrong when it comes to forming strong foundational bonds with your team.

Tylerro2 shared the thread of messages between his supervisor and himself regarding coming into work. As he explained that he would not be able to come in, and quite politely apologised, the supervisor keeps hitting back harder and harder, when tyllero2 reveals that he lost his dad and would like to take this day to mourn...things go south...

As you can you see the messages were both inconsiderate and quite offensive. It seemed like the supervisor was attacking the employee and that's not a route that anyone should take with a co-worker.

But then we saw some light as the manager contacted tylerro2 and sent such a heartfelt and kind message. Take a look at his message below. (Courtesy of Reddit)

We guess we can firmly say that sometimes it's the people at the mid-level positions that take advantage of their power and become obsessed with a superiority complex, we are glad that the manager stepped in here...
