Fans have continuously speculated over posts, overanalysing tweets, trying to find any hint as to when she would be releasing new music.
Finally, during an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Rihanna gave the fans what they wanted.
Although still not disclosing any specific release date, she mentioned that she is constantly working on new music.
She also stated she feels no guilt about the delay of her ninth studio album, nicknamed 'R9' by her fans because she wants to put it out when it's truly ready, and not just release something when the people demand it.

She went on to add that she is making it worth it and seeing as it's taken her this long to work on this labour of love, it's bound to be another hit record.
Although best known for her musical talents, Rihanna has also expanded her empire, by becoming an entrepreneur with the creation of her incredibly inclusive Fenty Beauty.
Building on the foundations of her cosmetic line, while continuing to be a fierce advocate for inclusivity in the industry, she has released her new venture - Fenty Skin.

And if she hasn't given us enough reasons to love her, one of her biggest goals while creating this skincare line was to make it available to anyone and everyone, female or male.

And we can't wait to see what she does next.
