There are many people that live their lives based on the superstitious laws of the universe. Sometimes there is some truth to the fantasy, but sometimes it can be said to be just a fallacy.
This is where we separate the believers from the realists...
This man, Mthetho Makhathini from Ekurhuleni, has started a treasure hunt in his yard and he is what we would certainly call a believer...
"Mthetho Makhathini has been dreaming of imali yezipoki (ghost money) in his yard. For this reason, he’s been hard at work for the past few months digging and searching for it. But, his search has caused a rift with his neighbours in Tsakane, Ekurhuleni, as the 5m hole in his yard is so big it’s now affecting their houses. One neighbour’s wall has even cracked...." (Daily Sun)
He started digging years ago when his late mother told him that there was treasure hidden there. After a period of not searching, he restarted his treasure hunt in October last year and has been making progress.
His mother came to him in a dream, which restarted his digging journey. And although his neighbours have been complaining, due to the damages on their properties (as a result of the digging), he is focused on continuing his mission.
