Let's just say we love his style and this is confirmation that the world does too...
Fashion is something that is very much a subjective experience. But when it comes to making it as a designer, one of the most iconic things that could really mark your success has got to be Paris Fashion Week.
So to hear that an African fashion designer has made his mark on the international fashion world by featuring his collection at Paris Fashion Week, we couldn't be more proud.
"Zimbabwean fashion designer, Ishmael ‘Zargue’sia’ Tsakatsa, showcased his spring or summer 2021/22 collection themed ‘Stones of Fire’ which took him almost a year to complete has made waves since its debut on the runway. The Stones of Fire collection features rich colour textiles with silk satin, linen on orange and pinkish colour pallets on eight runway looks." (New Zimbabwe)
It was inspired by the innate human ability to pursue purpose with courage and determination regardless of the challenges and obstacles faced. The preparations were very demanding but worth every single sweat. There were high expectations to be met with regards to how best l can represent Zimbabwe and Africa at large on my debut at Paris Fashion Week.- Ishmael ‘Zargue’sia’ Tsakatsa
