Princess Diana's first work contract expected to fetch R190k!
Updated | By East Coast Radio
Would you pay close to R200,000 for a piece of paper that holds a milestone moment for Princess Diana?
The Princess of Wales, Princess Diana, has made the news again.
Like the great legend that she was, she has left quite a legacy for herself. Recently her name came up in the media over her first work contract that will be auctioned on the 30th of April 2024.
"A job application form filled out by Lady Diana Spencer for elite nanny agency Solve Your Problem Ltd in May 1979 has gone on sale." (Instagram)
The contract was filled out by Lady Diana herself in black ink when she was 17. It is being said that she filled out the incorrect date of birth deliberately.
The official Royal website says, "Diana, Princess of Wales, formerly Lady Diana Frances Spencer, was born on 1 July 1961 at Park House near Sandringham, Norfolk."
But according to the contract, her date of birth reads, 1 July 1960. The reason behind listing the incorrect date of birth is said to be because she wanted to "get a job quicker, or receive more pay." (BBC)
Princess Diana's first work contract is expected to fetch a healthy total of £8,000 at the auction.
Which is R190,000!
That's a massive amount to pay for a piece of paper. We are interested to see who pays for such an iconic piece.
It was so wholesome to see the Prince of Wales continue with his mother's tradition of caring for the people. He recently visited a schoolboy from St Michael's Church of England High School in Rowley Regis.
"The schoolboy wrote to the Prince of Wales urging him to support the school's Matrix Project which was set up to raise awareness of the mental health of boys." (Sky News)
