POV: "I swear some people get married thinking it’s a fundraiser"
Updated | By East Coast Radio
Where is the line when it comes to what's acceptable and what's not at a wedding?
Bridal couples have been in the firing line for some time now - and the reasons have varied.
But for the most part, it is because they have come up with some ridiculous requirements when it comes to their weddings.
Where traditionally weddings were focused on celebrating the union of two families, now the focus has been redirected towards things such as paying for your own food and ridiculous gift requests.
As the Black-Eyed Peas sang, "Where is the love?"
Clearly there is a lack of it for guests, as one woman shared a wedding invitation that asked guests to pay for their own meals.
Sheesh, that's harsh, don't you think? Asking for gifts is something that we've heard of, but asking guests to fork out money for their meals when they are coming to your wedding, that's a bit extreme.
What's worse is that not only are guests obligated to pay for their own meals, but they blatantly said that all gifts are appreciated but monetary gifts are preferred.

Many people shared their distaste over the bridal couple's efforts to act snobby.
Some said they wouldn't attend at all, while others joked about the ridiculousness of their terms.
"I would be fine paying for my own meal if the invite said no gifts. But to expect cash when guests are paying for themselves is absolutely ridiculous,” one user commented.
“Wanting money over gifts is fine especially since a lot of people already live together, but paying for your own meal?! LMAO,” a second echoed." (TikTok)
