Some things are so uniquely South African, especially our food.
On the 24th of September, every South African celebrates a very special day - Heritage Day.

This year we want to celebrate the things that make South Africa such a one-of-a-kind country by finding things that you can only understand or have if you come from SA.
Like how we're probably one of the only countries in the world who has to put off its electricity every now and then so that when we turn it back on there's enough to go around.

Or how we have some of the best and most diverse food the world has to offer.
From Cape Town's Gatsbys to Durban's Bunny Chows, from tasty tripe to powerful pap.

So, for the rest of the month, Vic will be taken on a food journey, by taste testing some of South Africa's most delectable and unique dishes.
