One wedding dress, three generations of love and wedding bliss...

One, two, three versions of the same wedding dress...
Romance is something that is quite subjective, but we have to admit that there are those stories that can really tug at those heart strings. This is one such story.
It starts off with the love story between Kate Tafelski and Tyler Ostrowski, who were clearly meant to ski off into the sunset. The two met at a Halloween party. After some time they began dating and they kept the tradition of celebrating Halloween as a symbolism to their relationship.
So when it came time for them to take the next step in their relationship, Kate thought it would happen at their Halloween party. But it didn't, it seems that Tyler has some good surprise and romantic skills up his sleeves.
"Ostrowski designed a scavenger hunt across Baltimore, Maryland, for the proposal. The clues led to places that were important to them in their relationship. When they arrived at the final place, the Federal Hill Park, he had their family and friends waiting." (Business Insider)
In true fairytale style, he proposed as the sun went down and they went out with friends and family to celebrate. When it came to her wedding dress, she wasn't sure she wanted mum's dress, that was tightly tucked away for her in the attic.
Mostly because she didn't really like the style of her mum's dress. But sometimes the universe has its own plans for you.
"But Tafelski wasn't able to have the traditional shopping experience due to the pandemic, so her mother's wedding dress turned out to be the perfect option. She was a fan of the original look her grandmother wore in 1961 — and she knew she wanted something similar." (Business Insider)

After a trip to the seamstress and some alterations, Kate made the dress her own. The best part being that she managed to continue a tradition that stemmed from strong bonds of family and love.
It is beautiful that she shared that she wanted to keep the dress to continue the tradition in some way. Also the fact that she repurposed parts of the dress that were cut off, as keepsakes for family members. This way they got to keep a piece of history and tradition with them too.
