A pregnant woman has reached out for support after
claiming to be bullied by her grandmother who doesn’t approve of her name choice.
Talk about family
drama! A woman has reached out on social media for some advice after her relationship
with her grandmother turned sour when she revealed what she plans to name her
future son.
Taking to Redditt, one woman admits that she should have kept her future son’s name private because it’s caused tension between her and her grandmother over the grandmother’s dissatisfaction with the name.
Asking for advice, the mom-to-be asked: "I told my grandmother the name that my fiancé and I had picked out for our baby boy (assuming that the NIPT was correct) and I basically felt bullied for it”.

She explains: "I picked the name Atlas Sage. She told me everything there was to say to put me down about how awful the name was and it really upset me. She then said I was being a baby about it because I was upset.”
The woman adds that she was shocked by the reaction her grandmother had to her decision. "I never expected to be treated like this in my first (and probably only) pregnancy. Has anything like this happened to anyone else? It’s just disheartening to hear so many hateful comments about the name and it’s only from her! She says she hopes other kids will be kind and I said you’re literally the one not being kind right now! Just craziness really."

Naturally, people came out in full support over the woman’s decision and told her not to listen to what her grandmother says.
"Cool name. Not so cool grandma. Don't let anyone ruin that for you,” one person commented. Another shared their own story, saying: "That’s a wonderful name! People are too opinionated. We shared names to my fiancé family. Everyone, except his brother like it. Brother said “That’s a stupid f****** name”. Thanks dude. Little ones name is Alister James."
A third person added: "I’m just hopping on here to say that that’s a really lovely name! Sorry you’re getting that negativity. Hugs from across the internet."
