"My boyfriend's mother says I'm a bad GF for not cleaning up his room?!"

Come on, mom, really now...
Keeping one's living space clean and tidy says a lot about a person.
It is also an indication of how you live your life, sometimes the physical manifests into the emotional and things can get messy.
So we understand why our parents always moaned about cleaning up the room. It was the foundational start of preparing us for adulthood.
Now the lines get blurry for some folks because they are adults and are still living at home. Which can be tricky for parents.

She revealed that her boyfriend and his mother have always had a rocky relationship. After having this argument with his mother, he shared with his girlfriend what his mother said.

The girlfriend admitted that perhaps she should cut the mother some slack, as she does in fact stay over often.
She has decided to limit sleepovers and also helped her boyfriend clean his room. She realised that perhaps she was putting quite a bit of pressure on the mother staying over and is happy to say that the mother invited her on their family trip.
The girlfriend ended it off by saying that she wants to work at her relationship with her boyfriend's mother and hopes to one day be the daughter-in-law in the family.
