This man kept getting paid after being fired, he claims he didn't know he was fired!

He received $250,000 since being fired...
Life is definitely a game full of surprises, some more welcome than others. But you know when people say, things are too good to be true, well, the reality is that they are probably correct.
This was certainly the case for Ronald Berry, a 47-year-old maintenance subway worker in New York. He was fired four years ago but was still collecting his paychecks. He claims that he did not know that he was terminated and that is why he continued to pick up his pay.
Talk about a bad case of miscommunication. We've heard of stories where people are still on mailing lists for old accounts, but very rarely is it your employer who is paying you for not coming into work...
Guess that payroll person wasn't paying attention to the records book, nor was the shift manager. According to the New York Post, "Berry claims that he had been placed on sick leave back in 2015 for high blood pressure and asthma."
"When Berry showed up on Thursday to flash his identification badge and grab his pay as usual, he was nabbed for trespassing, authorities said. A confused Berry claims the agency certainly knows where to find him — they’ve been sending him letters telling him to go to training, including one just last month." (New York Post)
In all honesty, if you were getting paid monthly from any source, would you question it? It's okay, you can keep the answer in your head, free of judgement...
If I’m terminated why am I getting letters from them? The last one I got was at the end of last month and I believe it was for asbestos training or track training.- Ronald Berry
