Johnny Depp was asked to resign from the 'Fantastic Beasts' trilogy because of the allegations made against him by his former wife, Amber Heard.
But it was the author of these iconic novels that caused the most hurt.

J.K Rowling offended almost every 'Harry Potter' fan when she took to Twitter to make a bunch of comments towards the transgender community that was viewed as highly insensitive.
Her behaviour has left many fans in an uncomfortable position as they do not wish to support her in any way but they still love the story she created.

With the latest HP announcement, fans are once again divided.
According to multiple sources, the seven novels are getting a live-action television series makeover!
The Hollywood Reporter was the first to break the news that the streaming service HBO Max is consulting with many different writers as they try to figure out the best possible way to now translate these books to television.

There are no clear and definitive plans as of yet and they are still only in the planning stages.

(Many reboots have been notoriously terrible)
No please, Harry Potter doesn't need a fresh start. Leave the Boy who Lived alone. There are other things in @jk_rowling Wizarding World that could work as a series. Hollywood needs to stop being lazy and just create new things not reboot after reboot. https://t.co/KjZ27qf4qO

Or do one set on 1800's Hogwarts?
Wait, that one's Hogwarts Legacy. https://t.co/3tN1WbTunW
i love harry potter but please we do not need this lmao

It doesn't matter if JKR is involved in the Harry Potter series or not, she owns the rights to it, this WILL make her money. If you support the tv show for a fuzzy little nostalgia trip you're showing your trans followers you support her

READ: This new television series will be your 'Undoing'...
Some of these alternative reboot/spin-off ideas are actually pretty brilliant!
But if there is anything the fans of well-known and beloved series and movies have learned, it's that nobody creating the series ever really listens to the fans.

Hopefully, if there is a Harry Potter series in the works, it will follow in the steps of all the successful, non-disappointing reboots.
