Jerusalema Airlines or MzansiFly?

One of these names will pass with flying colours.
The public, when given the chance, can take an opportunity that has been presented to them and maybe ruin it for everyone.

An example: In the UK, they asked the public to think of a name for a polar research ship and vote for their favourite.
This resulted in the winning name being "Boaty McBoatface".
The organisers decided to ignore the vote and name it RRS Sir David Attenborough instead.

Now South Africa has decided to take on exactly such a task.
The founder of kulula.com and a local leasing company have decided to create a new proudly South African airline.
They have launched a competition which will be deciding the name of the new company and you have until the 2nd of October to suggest a name.
Uyinene Air - Apart from the international significance of Uyinene Mrwetyana’s story, I think the name and it’s meaning is a bold way to come up in a year when the whole world suffered. Uyinene - God is true also, Queen or Strong princess.

If you win, you won't only be credited with naming a whole entire airline, but you will also walkway with 12 return flights for you and a partner (to be used within one year of winning).
Naturally, social media has been booming since the announcement with some of the suggestions including; Marula Airlines, Protea Airline, Wakanda Air, and Lekker Airlines.

The current frontrunners are Mzansi Airlines and Ubuntu Fly.
No matter what name is chosen in the end, all we hope is that it is a proud and accurate representation of South Africa.
