They say the best relationships are born from friendships.

But is it just a cliché or something you hear in a rom-com about two best friends who fall in love and live happily ever after?
Generally, most of us would have the same concern if we realised we had feelings for our best friends: we would keep it quiet because we don't want to ruin the friendship.

There's even been a viral TikTok trend that is based on you telling your best friend you like them, by kissing them:

But how awkward is that moment of rejection?
If we were to take a leap of faith, reveal our feelings to our bestie and they rejected us like some of these have, we might never recover.
