You might even remember the actress from her days on
Suburban Bliss
Sylvaine Strike is an award-winning actress, director and theatremaker as well as the artistic director and co-founder of Fortune Cookie Theatre Company.
She has won a SAFTA award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Those Who Can’t .
But perhaps she is most infamously known for her work as the voiceover artist for Cell C’s ads.
Her sultry mysterious voice was the subject of intrigue for many years for South Africans as she was always hidden.
This even prompted the network to do a series of ads about people trying to figure out who she was.
It’s safe to say that her work helped put the brand on the map.
Strike sat down with Vic on this week’s edition of #IAmLegend to talk about her iconic voice, working on Suburban Bliss and how that show united South Africans from different works of life and a lot more.
