He got limb lengthening surgery after being rejected

Eek, can you even imagine how painful that must've been?!
Rejection can be difficult regardless of the circumstances, but when it comes to being a man, somehow, it hurts more.
People say the ego gets bruised more than anything else, but rejection can be a buzz kill with one's self-esteem.
In this case, it was a man named Dynzell Sigers. He shared that he was always quite reserved as a child, out of fear of being rejected.
And it seems his fears became reality when his crush rejected him for being too short.
Dynzell Sigers, an ex-navy medic, "spent $81,000 (R1514270,70) on limb-lengthening surgery after being 'rejected' by women for being 'too short.'" (MSN)
He was 1.65m and underwent the surgery in December 2022, which now makes him 1.82m.
This means he has grown in height about 15cm. Like any growth, this makes him feel like a new man.
The process sounded painstakingly horrifying, and we're not certain anyone would willingly go through something like that.
But we guess it helped him in the long run.
"After surgically cutting the bone and inserting the internal rod in between the two halves, which connects to an external fixator through pins that protrude out your legs. You undergo the lengthening process where you turn a key on the external fixator triggering the internal rod to lengthen." (MSN)

He shared one distinct memory of being rejected by a girl that he had a huge crush on in his earlier years. She found him attractive but she said that it wouldn't work because he was "too short and too young for her".
"I held on to that and would always consider my height before approaching women, which would often cause me to miss out on opportunities. Another major thing that stood out for me was that as much as I loved playing sports and I was very good at them, I refused to join any of my school teams because of my small stature," he said (MSN).
All we can say is, the things we do to our bodies to feel more acceptable can sometimes be crazy.
