Half of single men don't wash their bed sheets for up to four months at a time...

If you're really honest, how often do you change your bed sheets?
When we think about cleanliness, there is this automatic connection with it being something that we all should esteem to.
For obvious reasons, of course. Cleanliness is something that we should aspire to because we have seen what may come of it when we don't.
If anything, the pandemic taught us to be wary of our personal hygiene and what it can create.
It is for this very reason that we wanted to highlight this study, which was conducted in April 2022.
"A survey of 2,250 UK adults, released in April, found that almost half of single men don't wash their bed sheets for up to four months at a time, with 12% admitting they wash them when they remember - which could be even longer." (Instagram)
According to the study, single women changed their bedding more often, with "62% cleaning their bedding every two weeks, while most couples claimed to do theirs every three weeks, according to data from a bedding company." (Instagram)
If you're wondering how often you should be changing your bedding, then we've got you covered.
A sleep expert told BBC that you should be changing your bedding once a week or every two weeks. We don't feel the need to explain why you should be changing the sheets, but in case you need a reason:
"Sweat goes into the sheets making them not only smell disgusting but also become quite clogged up," according to Dr Browning." (BBC)

What's worse is that as you sleep, your dead skin cells shed onto the sheets. If you do not clean your sheets often, then these skin cells build up, which means bed mites will feed on them.
Which could lead to skin rashes and discomfort.
We guess this is the reason why many people say one of the greatest feelings is sleeping on clean and fresh bedding...
