Family and friends can now recommend matches for you on Tinder

So, it's like 'Date My Family', but on a dating app...
It's daunting enough being on a public dating forum such as Tinder, but can you imagine having family and friends on it with you?
Well, many people might say that they prefer assistance from family and friends when it comes to finding love, but there are those who disagree.
For those who are happy to receive help, the popular dating app Tinder has become more family-friendly.
"Tinder has announced a new feature called Matchmaker that allows friends or family to make suggestions on who you should date on the platform." (htxt)
Sometimes getting your family's nod of approval is the only way you can see a future with someone.
And who better than the people closest to you to find the perfect match for you? They know your likes and dislikes, and, most of all, they know what is good for you... most of the time anyway.
"The addition of the feature makes a lot of sense, considering a recent survey on the platform found that, ” 75% of surveyed singles said they discuss their dating life with friends multiple times a month.” (htxt)
The user's friends or family members will not require a Tinder profile to have access to their profile. The 'matchmakers' will be able to view and suggest potential matches.

In a world where people are willing to try anything in their pursuit of finding love, we think this is a great way of including the family.
"Tinder Matchmaker brings your circle of trust into your dating journey and helps you see the possibilities you might be overlooking from the perspective of those closest to you,” added Melissa Hobley, chief marketing officer at Tinder." (htxt)
We guess it's all about merging the family into your dating sphere to fish out the good ones, as if you've tried everything else, then why not?
