Entrepreneurs create vegan leather made of cacti

A new kind of leather...
Over the years, more and more people have become mindful of the clothes they wear when it comes to being kinder to the planet.
"Fashion production makes up 10% of humanity’s carbon emissions, dries up water sources, and pollutes rivers and streams." (Schalkenbach)
So, when we heard about this brand, Desserto, created by two Mexican brothers Adrián López Velarde and Marte Cázarez, we were quite intrigued.
The brothers have created a method of turning cacti into vegan leather.

The fact that we are transitioning as a whole from fast fashion to being mindful of the environment, says a lot about our growth.
There's a long way to go, but each person in their professional and personal capacity can make a difference.
