Employees will get paid 100% of salary for four days of work

Four day work week sounds about right...
Since the pandemic hit the world, there have been many people who have lost their jobs, some getting demoted, and others having to take on more because the company demands have increased.
And with fear riding through many people's minds, stress and anxiety came knocking harder than usual.
It is why we have seen a considerable increase in the amount of negative cases when it comes to people's mental state of well-being.
So to hear about 70 companies in the United Kingdom participating in a trial research experiment where employees have a shorter work week with no pay cut, is quite invigorating...
"Workers will get 100% of their salary but only have to do 80% of the hours they would typically work. The aim of the trial, thought to be the world’s biggest pilot scheme of its kind, is for employees to be more productive." (Instagram)
Now this is the type of thinking that will help employers retain employees, develop a healthy work culture, and ultimately grow the business to greater heights.
Because isn't it true that if you are happy in your job, then you perform better?
We definitely think so...
Sam Smith, a co-founder of Pressure Drop Brewery in Tottenham, situated in London, shared some insight into the experiment.
The pandemic's made us think a great deal about work and how people organise their lives. We're doing this to improve the lives of our staff and be part of a progressive change in the world that will improve people's mental health and wellbeing.- Sam Smith

He went on to say that managing one's time is important.
Shorter times doesn't mean you have to work faster, it's about the productivity of one's time and being more mindful of the tasks you are setting out for yourself.
This is definitely the way we should be moving into the future of work. Being more selective and productive with our time. We all know that's the one thing people always complain about, not having enough time.
Perhaps this is the resolution...
